Pamela Wilder Hurst received her BFA in Painting from The Kansas City Art Institute and her MFA in Painting from The Rhode Island School of Design. She studied Painting and Renaissance  Art at Studio Arts Center International in Florence, Italy.

She has primarily concentrated on oil painting and printmaking throughout her studies and career. She lives in the Philadelphia area with her family, where she keeps a working studio. Her main artistic focus at this time is woodcutting.
